Process

All submitted Bright Ideas will be seriously considered. So, when you submit a Bright Idea, it's passed through a number of reviews.

  1. All submissions are reviewed on a regular basis by the Bright Ideas Review Committee.
  2. Some Bright Ideas may not be possible for use at Emory... but, you'll still receive a thank you for your submission and be entered into an annual prize drawing held at Staff Fest.
  3. Bright Ideas that are approved, are submitted to further review by a department manager in the area responsible for your Bright Idea (for example, a Campus Services Manager might review an Idea for water conservation).
  4. At this point, some Bright Ideas may not be able to be implemented at Emory due to budget constraints or other technical reasons (again, you'll receive a thank you and be entered into an annual prize drawing held at Staff Fest).
  5. Bright Ideas which meet final approval are scheduled for implementation.
  6. Your Bright Idea is eligible for an Award!
